Wisconsin Winter Weather Predictions 2017-2018
Prepare for Above Average Snowfall and Removal with Superior Outdoor Services
With winter fast approaching, it’s no surprise Wisconsin residents are beginning to wonder about snowfall and cold weather temperatures. Will there be more snow than usual? Will there be an El Niño or La Niña event? Superior Outdoor Services has the answers to help our customers prepare. While there is no way to determine the exact average temperature or inches of snowfall, there are many Wisconsin weather predictions available to help us prepare for this winter.
What to Expect from Winter 2017-18 in Wisconsin
The Farmer’s Almanac long-range forecast has predicted the winter of 2017-18 to have mild temperatures with above average snowfall. In southeast Wisconsin, the heaviest snowfall will begin in December and last through February.
The Climate Prediction Center shows similar predictions, with slightly warmer temperatures through the winter months and average snowfall. Areas closer to Lake Michigan will likely have higher temperatures.
Will there be an El Niño or La Niña event in 2017?
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has determined there will likely be no extreme El Niño or La Niña Southern Oscillation (ENSO) weather patterns occurring this year. El Niño weather usually causes higher temperatures with low snowfall in Wisconsin while La Niña causes colder temperatures with higher snow. Since this year will be “neutral”, it is possible to have more snow common from La Niña despite El Niño temperatures.
The Benefits of Scheduling Snow Removal Services Before Snowfall
Waking up to a winter wonderland can quickly turn into a nightmare if you have to shovel your way out to get to work. Superior Outdoor provides snow plowing services for residential driveways so you can get ready in the morning without worrying about your driveway. Enjoy your coffee and start your day right while we keep your driveway clear.
If you own a business, you need reliable commercial snow removal from Superior Outdoor. We will clear out parking lots and sidewalks so your workday can continue without interruption from snow. We operate 24/7, removing the snow when it falls and not hours later. Our residential and commercial services can be arranged in advance, so you won’t get stranded when the weather forecast changes.
Stay Safe and Deice Your Sidewalks
Hidden ice under the snow can put customers and employees in danger. We provide ice control and salting to keep your outer areas safe and prevent falls.
Superior Outdoor also has snow relocation for commercial businesses with large parking lots. Normal plowing only moves snow to another part of your driveway or parking lot. You’ve probably seen huge mounds of snow taking up multiple parking spaces at retail centers, theaters, and schools. Our relocation service takes the snow away completely, freeing up space.
